Lakeshore Precision Drivers Training is fully licensed and qualified to offer individual driving instruction to anyone over the age of 18 who wishes to pursue driving.  We offer a individualized training program that meets your individual needs for driving instruction.

Instruction can include classroom instruction where we cover basic vehicle operation, the different driving environments, emergency situations and bad weather, vehicle maintenance.  At the end of instruction students will take the same Michigan knowledge test that all Segment 1 student take,

We also offer structured behind-the-wheel driving instruction to meet each individuals needs.  We conduct a basic driving skills analysis and put together a driving schedule to match each persons skill level, whether is it one or six lessons. 

We also offer tutoring for individuals who need a little extra driving instruction beyond the Segment 1 and 2 instruction and want to prepare for the Road Skills Test.
What do I need to do?

Any person 18 or older, who does not have a Michigan driver's license, who wishes to have any additional instruction MUST possess a Michigan Temporary Instruction Permit (T.I.P.) prior to having any behind the wheel instruction.

To obtain a T.I.P. you must go to your local Secretary of State office to obtain one.

Cost for instruction is based upon your specific needs for instruction and is agreed upon prior to the start of any instruction.

  What We Offer:

  Every student receives a 1 hr. evaluation drive.  This allow the instructor to better understand what the individual students needs   are and help to customize a driving plan that best meets the students needs.

A $100 deposit is required at the time of registration

  Plan A:  For the student who needs some refresher skills in preparation for the Road Skills Test
1 or 2 hrs. of instuctionCost:  $50 for 1 hr., $100 for 2 hrs.


  Plan B: Three (3) hours of behind-the-wheel instruction, for the student with limited driving experience.  Reinforcing driving          skills that include driving in the city, rural and freeway driving.  Some time will also be spent on preparation for the Road Skills     Test. 
Cost:  $150


  Plan C:  For the student who has little to no driving experience.  A total of 6 hrs. of instruction can be provided and can be          customized for the student to be all driving, all classroom instruction, or a combination of both.  If there is a combination of          classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction this will be agreed upon between the instructor and student prior to beginning            instruction.
Cost:  $300.00

  Additional instruction can be added to each package, or a customized program can be developed between the          LPDT and the student.  Any additional instruction beyond any of the above listed packages can be figured at a rate     of $50.00/hr.  Payment in full for any package is required before instruction begins.
